How Rounds, Themes, and DONE Work

Follow one Facecard round from the lobby countdown through painting, voting, and the results board, including what happens if you join late.

Facecard: Makeup Showdown is a free Roblox makeup contest for up to 10 players in a server. Everyone receives the same theme and paints it on their own 3D face. When time is up, each look gets a short photoshoot and the other players rate it from 1 to 5 stars. The best-rated faces take the top spots.

Round stages

  1. Lobby. A short countdown while players gather.
  2. Paint. The theme appears and the paint screen opens.
  3. Brushes down. Every look is collected.
  4. Vote. Looks are shown one at a time and rated from 1 to 5 stars.
  5. Results. You see the winner, second, third, and the full leaderboard. A new theme starts after a short break.

The banner at the top shows the theme, a one-line brief, and the clock. The clock turns pink in the last seconds. The Help Center says there are over a hundred themes, from looks such as Smokey Eye to moods such as Villain Era. Read the brief before you pick products. A pretty look that ignores the theme is still off-brief when people vote.

DONE, extra time, and joining late

Press DONE when the look is finished. It asks for a second tap so you cannot end the round by accident. If every painter presses DONE, the round moves on early. If the clock runs out, your look is collected as it is. Nothing extra is removed for running out of time.

The small gold + on the clock adds extra minutes for everyone in the server. It can be used once per round, it costs Robux, and it disappears after somebody uses it.

If you join while enough painting time remains, you paint with the time that is left. If the round is nearly over, you wait in the lobby and can still vote. While you wait you can open the shop, the Lookbook, or Freeplay.

What carries over

Every round starts on a clean bust so the contest is fair. Your head base is the one choice that stays. Makeup, lashes, and piercings do not. A saved face shape comes back only if you load a Sculpt preset. Saved Lookbook looks open in Freeplay, not inside the contest.

How placement is decided

Looks are ranked by average star rating. If two looks tie, the one with more votes goes first. First, second, and third earn a bonus, and everyone who painted earns something. You cannot place if you did not paint in that round.

You cannot rate your own look. If you tap no stars on someone else's look, that vote counts as 1 star, so rate every card. Reactions such as LETHAL and Tomatoes are visual only and do not change the score.

After results, press the X to return to the lobby early, or wait for the next round. Stars other players give you also add to your lifetime rank total. Tool controls are in the painting guide, and the star rules are in voting.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Facecard: Makeup Showdown free?

Yes. The experience is free to play on Roblox. VIP, the More Layers pass, the 2x Earnings pass, cash packs, reaction packs, and the extra-time button are optional Robux purchases.

How do you win a round?

Paint the shared theme, then get the highest average star rating from the other players. A tie goes to the look with more votes. You have to have painted in that round to place.

Are there working codes right now?

The shop has a code button, and new codes are shared on the game Discord. No code string was published in the Help Center, and this wiki does not list guessed codes.

How many head bases are there?

The Help Center lists three free head bases: Classic, Aniya, and Mina. Your pick is remembered. Makeup, lashes, and piercings fit every base. Face shape is a separate Sculpt setting.

Does my makeup stay for the next round?

No. Every round starts on a clean bust. Only your chosen head base stays. Load a Sculpt preset if you want your saved face shape back, and load a Lookbook look in Freeplay rather than in a contest round.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. On a phone or tablet, one finger on the face paints, a drag on the background turns the head, and a pinch zooms. Stamps are placed by holding, sliding, then lifting.
